What began in 1973 with the first hotel on Düsseldorf’s Seestern has since developed into a family-run hotel company with 34 properties across Europe. With the idea for the me and all hotels, which are dedicated to the high demands of modern, digital-savvy business travelers, Lindner Hotels AG has expanded its portfolio since 2016. In addition to numerous hotels of Lindner Hotels & Resorts, digital services from Hotelbird are also used in the me and all hotels. They impressively prove that online check-in/out, digital registration form and door opening via smartphone are decisive building blocks for success even in the international chain hotel industry.

The Munich-based technology company shows that a digital guest journey also works smoothly in the international chain hotel industry and across different brands. Currently, 14 hotels of Lindner Hotels & Resorts and 4 me and all hotels are equipped with Hotelbird solutions, 4 more hotels are to follow.

The Hotelbird team has supported me and all hotels on their way from the beginning with flexible interface architecture and the appropriate solutions depending on the location. The result is an urban design concept with open co-working spaces, networking opportunities and a public bar, which meets sophisticated and flexibly deployable digital solutions from Hotelbird. “In order to ensure the easiest possible handling of digital services for our employees and guests, it was clear from the very beginning that we needed a suitable solution that could be applied equally to all brands,” explains Otto Lindner, CEO Lindner Hotels AG.

So that guests can conveniently use the services via different channels, the intelligent platform solution from Hotelbird is used in the background. As the leading provider of digital check-in/out solutions in Germany, Hotelbird is distinguished by its years of experience in interface development and can seamlessly integrate digitally controlled check-in/out into any software environment. Together with providers of property management systems (PMS), locking system manufacturers and payment providers, Hotelbird is constantly developing intelligent interfaces. These are characterized above all by the particular depth of their functionality.

“To do this, we draw on the highest number of hard-connected interfaces, which allows us to connect a wide range of hotels with ease,” explains Juan A. Sanmiguel, founder and CEO Hotelbird. “Constant updates to these interfaces allow us to offer our customers a stable, secure system that also leads the market in terms of competitive capabilities.” With the app for BLE door opening and the Self-Service Terminal, Hotelbird has the most channels for the guest.

The advantage for hotel employees: The Hotelbird technology integrates into an already existing digital environment and therefore does not require extensive set-up or relearning. In addition, employees receive in-depth training and advice on the optimal use of the software.

The demand for digital hotel concepts is increasing, not least due to the Corona pandemic and the high shortage of skilled workers, which poses major challenges for the entire industry. Cost-efficient digital solutions give the hotel group a decisive edge over the competition: “We are looking forward to further cooperation with Hotelbird.
