Founder & CEO
Juan is an entrepreneur and tech enthusiast. After studying marketing, he founded his first e-commerce company at the age of 21. In 2014, a long queue during a hotel stay gave him the idea for Hotelbird: the digitalization of check-in. Together with co-founder Korbinian Hackl, he founded Hotelbird in 2015 – and within a few years, they made it the market leader for guest experience.

Founder & CTO
Korbinian is an entrepreneur and IT visionary. While studying business administration and computer science, he founded his first company at the age of 23 and has since led over 300 software projects. As co-founder and CTO of Hotelbird, he has been the driving force behind the platform’s technology since 2015 – developing the market-leading solution for the digital guest experience.
Katharina Barthelmann
Director People & Operations
Katharina is a People & Operations expert with a focus on culture, clarity, and collaboration. After studying tourism management, she worked in various HR and organizational development roles in the hospitality and tech industries. At Hotelbird, she is working with the founders to create a scalable, people-centric organization.
