We show you how you can easily check-in online from anywhere.

Web check-in:

1. Check-in invitation

On the day of arrival you will receive an invitation to the online check-in. Click on “check-in now” or simply enter checkin.hotelbird.com in the address line of your browser.

2. Call reservation

Select your hotel, enter your name and reservation number and click on “find booking”. You will then see an overview of your reservation. There please click on “check-in”.

3. Enter your personal data

Enter your personal data and payment details. The hotel needs the data to issue the legally required registration form. Your data is absolutely safe – you can find our privacy policy here

4. Get your check-in pass

You can download your check-in pass directly. We will also send you the check-in Pass by e-mail. With it you will receive your room key upon arrival. 

5. Get room key

In the hotel lobby you will find our hotelbird terminal. Scan your check-in pass to generate the room key. 

App check-in:

1. Check-in invitation

On the day of arrival you will receive an invitation to the online check-in. There you will also find a link to download the hotelbird app. Alternatively you can find the app in the AppStore or GooglePlay

2. Call reservation

Register with your e-mail address in the hotelbird app or log in if you already have an account. To add your booking click on “add existing booking” on the home screen of the hotelbird app. Select your hotel, enter your name and reservation number and click on “find booking”. If you are already registered in the app and have entered your e-mail address when making your booking, your booking will automatically appear in the app.

3. Enter your personal data

Enter your personal data and payment details. The data will be saved in your personal profile and need not be entered again the next time you make a booking. The data is required by the hotel to be able to issue the legally required registration form. Your data is absolutely safe – you will find our privacy policy here.

4. Get your check-in pass

You will receive an e-mail from us with your check-in pass. With it you will receive your room key upon arrival. Many hotels already offer a digital room key. If your hotel offers this service, you will receive your room key on your cell phone on the day of arrival. 

5. Get room key

In the hotel lobby you will find our hotelbird terminal. Scan your check-in pass to generate the room key.

In the lobby of your hotel you will find the hotelbird terminal. 

2. Call reservation

Enter your last name and select your reservation. 

3. Enter your personal data

Enter your personal data and payment details. The hotel needs the data to issue the legally required registration form. Your data is absolutely safe – you can find our privacy policy here.

4. Get your room key

After entering all data, follow the instructions on the screen and place a card on the coder to generate your room key.

Help, I can't find my booking!

Make sure that you have received a booking confirmation from the hotel. If so, check again that you entered the same e-mail address when booking and in the app. Did you enter the name of the hotel, the booking number and your name correctly? Update the app and restart it. If the booking still does not appear, please contact the hotel directly or contact us by e-mail at support@hotelbird.de.

How does online check-in work?

You will be notified by push notification or e-mail as soon as online check-in is possible. To do so, open the app and sign your pre-filled digital registration form. With just one click you are checked in. 

When can I check in online?

You can check-in online from the moment you book a hotel room, as soon as you have received a corresponding notification by push notification/e-mail. This means, regardless of whether you arrive tomorrow or in a few weeks. 

How does the digital key work?

You will receive your digital key on the day of arrival. You will be informed by push notification/e-mail as soon as your key is active. Displayed in the app like your room number. Activate the Bluetooth function on your smartphone. To open the door, hold your smartphone against the door lock and click on the round button. Once the door is open, the button will turn green.

When do I get my key?

You will receive your digital key on the day of arrival as soon as your room is ready and ready to move in. You will be informed about the receipt of the key by push notification/e-mail. 

Help, my key is not working.

If your key does not work, the round button lights up red and an error code appears. The code gives the hotel staff precise information about the cause and remedy of the error. Before contacting the hotel, please check if the Bluetooth function is activated on your smartphone, update the app and restart it.

 

How does the online check-out work?

On the day of departure you will be informed by push notification as soon as you can check out mobile. Via the hotelbird App you can view your invoice and pay securely. You will then receive your invoice by e-mail.

How safe is my data?

Our service is of course in accordance with the laws on data protection and data security and in particular the requirements of the DSGVO. In this data protection declaration we inform you about the specific processing of your data.

How safe is the payment?

Mobile payment via App offers maximum security. The entire payment process is handled by a certified payment provider. Sensitive data is not stored by hotelbird.

Help, I have not received an invoice!

Make sure that your check-out was successful. After you have successfully checked out and paid, you will receive a corresponding message in the app. Check your e-mail inbox. In some cases, there may be a slight delay in sending e-mail. If you have not received an invoice, please contact the hotel directly.
